This house was posted on Abandoned, Old & Interesting Places - Western PA Facebook page. They thought it was haunted, but after posting the pictures, several people who used to live in it, or live nearby it, have emphatically stated it is NOT haunted. It was a lovely family home full of good memories. I believe it did time as a nursing home for a while and then sold to it's current owners, who, do to the crappy economy, have not done much restoration in a long time.
The original family members say they'd like to regain it one day and turn it into a bed & breakfast.
I wish them luck. I think it would be great!
We stopped and took these pictures on the way back from Laurel Ridge SP.
When I was a kid, our church members and youth group used to go there and sing Christmas carols to the people who lived in the nursing home. I live close to this place. I spoke to the owner about a year ago who was trying to restore it.
ReplyDeleteMy grandparents owned it when it was a nursing home. My dad grew up in that house and I remember it being so beautiful as a kid.
